首輪英超賽事日前開鑼，不過獲得英超播放權的樂視，再次成為眾多用戶投訴的對象。有部份用戶聲稱無法開通收看英超賽事的賬戶，以及手機版的樂視體育應用程式無法播放外，部份熱門賽事亦有殘影甚至「窒機」（又稱lag機）情況。有業界人士估計，畫面質素或與樂視為控制數據流量，以令更多用戶能暢順收看比賽有關。
英超開鑼後，樂視體育香港的facebook專即被用戶「洗版」（見表），當中投訴最多的是其畫面不流暢以及窒機情況經常出現，有網民更直指樂視「個英超直播lag到離譜」，「真係眼到隻眼好攰，尤其專心睇個波轉動，真係睇到標眼水」。亦有部份用戶要求樂視提供比賽精華片段。
據本報記者測試觀看日前愛華頓對熱刺的賽事，下半場後段出現「窒機」，而當球員大腳傳球時，亦感覺球員動作連貫性並不流暢，有殘影出現，直播信號亦較電盈（008）旗下的Now TV有數秒延遲。
天開數碼創始人及行政總監袁耀輝指出，OTT電視平台一般只會播放每秒30格圖像的影片（frame per second, 簡稱fps），只有4K標準60fps的一半，所以球員高速傳球時觀眾會感覺到有殘影，亦無法向用戶提供慢動作重播。他又估計，樂視未有相應的畫面更新率，原因或是公司希望有更多人可以「睇住先」，若提高畫面更新率，或會令更多網速較低的用戶無法收看比賽，引起更多投訴。
袁耀輝表示，對比NowTV使用IPTV方式傳送節目，OTT企業無法控制用戶使用哪一網絡供應商，加上直播比賽無法分流用戶，大批用戶會同一時間收看賽事，故會出現延遲播放及降低畫質，令更多用戶能夠順暢收看。
本報就樂視用戶向公司投訴一事向樂視查詢，樂視回應指，公司以OTT技術播放賽事，故播放質素會因應不同網絡情況而異，惟未有提供樂視播放英超的畫質數據，以及日前收看英超的樂視用戶人數供外界參考。
樂視體育香港在上次歐國盃直播時，一開始十分賴嘢，好多人都話睇唔到。直至相當後期，才稍為恢復正常。原本以為樂視在英超開始前，已解決網絡問題。結果，英超剛開始了一兩天，網民仍然在網上罵爆，不少更直言「信第二次都繼續賴嘢，早知睇NOW」。
在樂視體育香港的Facebook中，可以看到尤如上一次歐國盃直播時的情況一樣，網民繼續狂罵。除了直播時狂窒外，也有人發現延遲時間相當長，在阿仙奴對利物浦一場賽事中，積分榜更搞錯曬，明明阿仙奴禾確特在31分鐘才打開記錄，但有網民發現竟顯示利物浦領先。
